Yes! We prefer to do an evaluation at our facility in Ambridge first to meet your dog in a neutral environment. (Some situations we can accomodate) After an evaluation, we can send our trainers to your home for training. Please note, travel fees apply to residences outside of Beaver County, PA.
Yes, we do use all training tools available to us as forms of communication with your dog. All dogs will be evaluated to see what tools they will benefit from. Not all dogs will require the use of corrective collars. Our trainers will determine that and train owners how to use them properly.
In many cases, yes. We have successfully worked with dogs displaying aggression, fear-based behaviors, and reactivity. However, every dog is different, which is why all aggression cases must first be evaluated by our head trainer. During the evaluation, we assess your dog's behavior, history, and individual needs to determine whether our program is an appropriate fit. While we cannot guarantee that every aggression case can be fully resolved, we are committed to providing honest recommendations and developing the best possible training plan for dogs that we believe we can help. Our goal is always to improve safety, communication, and quality of life for both you and your dog.
We take puppies from 8 weeks old to 11 months for our group classes. Puppies must have their first round of booster vaccinations to attend.
The honest answer is: it depends on the dog, the behavior, and the owner's commitment to following through at home. Every dog learns at a different pace, and there is no one-size-fits-all timeline.
Many dogs can learn basic obedience commands within a few weeks, but developing reliable behavior in real-world situations takes consistency and practice. More complex issues, such as fear, reactivity, or aggression, often require additional time and ongoing training.
Your dog may require a 10-day quarantine before training can begin. If that's not necessary or has been completed, we will schedule an evaluation with our head trainer, Paul, to discuss what happened. We will likely pursue private training or a Stay & Train program tailored to your dog to help avoid further incidents in the future.
